As one of Fort Worth’s most highly acclaimed interior designers, she has created beautiful interiors for a variety of residential and commercial clients since starting her company in January 2013. Clients appreciate that she makes the design process enjoyable and as smooth as possible.
Kara’s approachability and warmth are noticed immediately upon meeting her, and many clients quickly forge a friendship with Kara and return to her year after year as their families grow, and their design needs change. Her clients also appreciate that by having this growing and lasting relationship with Kara, that she is able to help them improve their lives in other areas, as well. As a faith-led woman with a heart for encouraging women, Kara shares her life experiences and really listens as her clients share their challenges, their celebrations, and the overall visions they desire for their lives. A particular subject that is near to Kara’s heart is adoption. She openly shares with women her struggles of infertility and loss, and how her journey to motherhood through adoption has been a bigger life blessing than she ever could have imagined as it equipped her with the tools and abilities to help others find even more beauty in their own lives.
Kara’s reputation for being able to meet design clients where they are with regards to their knowledge of interior design and with their resources has earned her the distinction of being “the one to go to” for homeowners who are newer to interior design and don’t quite know what potential their space might have. Clients value that Kara can educate them about their space’s potential, and quickly help them discover how a space can serve them–even if they’re not quite sure what their vision is yet.
As a child, Kara had a natural curiosity about how colors and shapes affect the space around us. She developed a keen ability to be mindful of even the smallest detail and how it supported the concept for the overall design. Additionally, she has sharpened her ability to repurpose items or see possibilities for creative uses for items that others often don’t see.
Kara is a professional level member of the Interior Design Society and is the recipient of several design awards. She was named one of the Top 15 Designers in Fort Worth by builddirect.com and awarded Best Visual Presentation by Dallas Market Center. She also won Best of Houzz for four years in a row. Her work has been featured in several publications and blogs including “Apartment Therapy,” “Kufri Life Designer Spotlight,” and Stephen F. Austin’s Alumni magazine “Sawdust.” Most recently, her firm was featured on CNBC’s “Billion Dollar Buyer” and in Texas Lifestyle Magazine. She received her degree in design from SFASU.
